2-Day Botanical Ink Making Workshop

Discover the beauty of nature in this 2-day Botanical Ink Workshop at Slow Hands.

Dive into the world of plant-based pigments and learn the art of creating your own botanical inks from foraged materials like leaves, flowers, and roots.

Day 1:

We’ll begin by gathering and preparing our natural materials, extracting pigments, and exploring the alchemy of ink-making. You’ll learn about different botanical sources and how to transform them into beautiful, sustainable inks.

Day 2: On the second day, we’ll focus on experimentation and creative expression. With your freshly made inks, you’ll have the opportunity to try different techniques on paper, creating your own unique artwork or experimenting with different shades and textures.

Whether you’re new to natural dyes or looking to expand your creative practice, this workshop offers an inspiring way to connect with nature while learning new skills.

Bring your own lunch but fika will be provided both days.

What’s included:

• Materials for making your own botanical inks

• Tools and supplies for experimentation

• Two-day workshop experience

• Fika on both days

This workshop is a relaxing, hands-on experience where you can connect with like-minded individuals and take home the inks you create.

Perfect for anyone with an interest in nature, sustainability, and slow, thoughtful creativity.
